High Plasticity Magnesium Alloys

High-plasticity magnesium alloy materials can help achieve weight reduction in industrial components, including in automobiles, 3C products, military technologies, and aerospace. Weight reduction can be achieved through using plastic forming processes to prepare magnesium alloys. However, magnesium alloys also present challenges. For example, they have only three slip systems, due to their HCP lattice structure, resulting in poor plastic deformation capacity, long processing times and high production costs.
