Vienna Circle's stance on religion - Maurice Schlick as a case study

Schlick followed the path of Ludwig Wittgenstein (April 26, 1889 - April 29, 1951), and even entered the Vienna Circle project for the critique of religion and took a position of rejection on the grounds of the fragility of the single comprehensive truth and its weakness in the face of the tendency towards multiplicity. Schlick was a philosopher of his time, an academic scholar who loved laws and respected systems as much as his high critical spirit and his tendency towards subtle experience, and perhaps this was one of the reasons that led to his assassination by one of his students. This indicates a scientific democracy with an improvisational quality. Most importantly in all of this, he considered the philosophical approach to the concept of religion, or myth in general, to lead to the totalitarian view, which Francis Bacon at one important stage of research considered one of the great obstacles that must be broken in the face of the convergence of empirical facts that give rational security.
