US-Sudan relations

Sudan was bound to be a target of the strategy devised by the US administration to control the future world order. This strategy is evident in the blatant intervention and instigation of conflict within the region as a means of future control over oil, especially given the intense competition for oil interests in West Africa between India and China. Accordingly, this book analyzes the trends in US foreign policy toward Sudan in light of the changes witnessed in the international, regional, and domestic environments. It highlights the shift in this policy, particularly after the discovery of Sudanese oil, which became apparent through the dominant and influential role of the United States in the negotiations leading to the signing of agreements in Sudan. The book attempts to answer a key question concerning the determinants influencing US foreign policy toward Sudan, specifically regarding the importance, priorities, and relative weight of these determinants.
