They enlist IBM engineers to develop the computer code for a chip powered by a small button battery. The chip and battery are encased in quarter coin size Lexan case with energy transmitted when the button is placed against a person s temple. The button can be worn on a wide variety of head gear and energizes neural bundles which control memory and motion and a wide variety of other brain-controlled functions. The book traces the development of the invention from design, through production and trails in medical, military and manufacturing environments. The Smartie is clipped to a wide variety of headgear and changes lives of the young and old. The impact of the invention is extensive from giving Alzheimer s patient s memory and mobility to creating sports heroes.
