The Book of Songs is the oldest collected poems in China. It fully reflects the grand scene of the music in ancient scholar-officials circles. The book collects 35 poems. Each one has the original poem, annotation, translation and appreciation. Ya has 105 poems, 31 poems belong to Daya and 74 poems belong to Xiaoya. Xiaoya consists of musical poems played in parties. Daya is made up with musical poems which were played when the monarch received the worship of the officials. Most of the musical poems in Daya were written by officials. Only a small part of music poems came from folk songs.
