The novel tells the story of three brothers whose lives diverge in childhood after the sudden death of their parents. Their lives shatter, and each goes his own way, yet they never lose hope of reuniting. For fifteen years, life takes them on different paths, united by their memories and their struggle to rebuild their family. Fate intervenes, and they try to find the meaning of family. But "e;Jule"e; is the narrator; he tells us what he sees and feels. We witness his parents' death, his brothers' separation, his loneliness without friends, and then his falling in love with a new girl at school, all through his eyes and personal perspective. He is also a photographer, and by taking up photography as a hobby and then a profession, he tries to capture the important moments in his life so they will last forever. But life is not easy and doesn't give him a chance to breathe. When it does, he meets the girl he loved at school again, and he remembers their promise that she would marry him when they both reached a certain age without either of them being married. But she surprises him by revealing that she is already married to a famous author much older than her. An epic novel about life, family, friendship, love, and the attempt to discover and live with oneself.
