Humming & Vocalizations:
Produce a steady and gentle vibration in the vocal cords, activating the vagus nerve. This rhythmic stimulation encourages a parasympathetic response, indicating safety and promoting relaxation.

When controlled breathing is combined with humming, it enhances the benefits of vagal toning. Prolonged exhalations during humming further activate the Ventral Vagal Complex (VVC), bringing a calming effect to the nervous system and releasing tension.
