Vlad and Friends

Vlad Dracula has spent one-hundred-and-forty years isolated in a castle with only his friend for company-a talking bat named Balthazar. The locals fear "the monster on the mountain", so Vlad secludes himself from society, watching the ways of people from afar while desperately longing for human companionship.

When a foul-mouthed farm girl trespasses into his home, Vlad's entire world is turned upside down. Fascinated by her, he quickly grows attached to Lenore and wonders what it would take to make her stay, despite his snooty bat companion struggling to befriend her. Vlad's life is altered as the charismatic stranger begins to warm his home, and his heart.

But Lenore has dreams of starting a life in the neighboring town-a place where a vampire would not be accepted. Though a friendship blossoms between the three of them and a budding romance begins, will Vlad's affections be enough to make her stay? Or will Lenore's thirst for life carry her away, forcing the vampire to live out his immortal years with a heart aching to love someone and only his furry friend by his side?
