It's one year later, and Trina Bell is back in Victoria. Yet, instead of having more summer fun, she's thrown into turmoil. A freak accident sends her father to the hospital, and his obnoxious physician, Dr. Charlene Root, seems intent on stealing his heart. Furthermore, Trina has only two more nights in her lodgings.

Scrambling to find accommodation, she rents a dusty room in The Victorian Getaway Inn, a strange old place haunted by a malicious cat named Amor de Cosmos. But things get even weirder. When Trina discovers that Dr. Root lives next door and sneaks through a hedge connecting the properties to spy on the woman, she shockingly finds herself transported back to the nineteenth century.

As Trina sets out to solve the time travel mystery, trying to prevent her father's accident, she realizes that there is another, more ominous reason for her visits to the past. Can she change history, and if so, what would that mean for her own future?

I liked how Trina could talk to some animals, and I really liked the time travel hedge. I already recommended it to one of my friends. I can't wait for the third book! Five stars."
