A first workshop runs on its bench. This book gives a beginner three of them, as complete plans: a table saw workbench with outfeed table that turns a jobsite saw into the center of the shop, a rolling assembly bench that comes to the work and parks against the wall, and the classic heavy-duty 2x4 bench - dimensional lumber only, one day to build, and a solid top you can plane flat again in ten years.

Every chapter is the whole plan, checked before printing: a dimensioned parts list with a code for every piece, full materials and hardware lists, board-by-board and sheet-by-sheet cut layouts that show which board or sheet every part comes out of (saw-kerf allowance included), dimension diagrams drawn to scale, and numbered assembly steps in which every part is called by its code. If a part is named in a step, it is in the cut list, with its size.

These are drafted plans, and the book says so plainly: they were drawn and dimension-checked to standard construction dimensions, not built by the publisher. Where a size depends on your saw, your casters, or your space, the plan marks it fitted and gives you the formula - measure yours, and the part fits the first time.
