After a scandal destroys her clinical career, Dr Isla Merrin accepts a last-chance position at a secluded Oxfordshire estate. Her assignment is to observe Lydia Vale, the fragile wife of Neurovita founder Edward Vale, and document the progress of an experimental treatment.
