The Arctic Door

The ice was never hiding the door. It was holding it shut.

When melting Arctic ice exposes an abandoned Cold War research station buried for decades, Dr. Lena Hart is invited to join an international expedition to investigate what appears to be a forgotten military outpost. The official explanation is simple: recover old equipment, study the collapse, and secure anything classified before rival nations arrive.

But Station Borealis is not empty.

As Lena and the team dig deeper, they discover the station was built above something ancient beneath the Arctic ice-something that moves when satellites pass overhead, learns through voices, feeds on attention, and uses the dead to speak. In 1968, the researchers at Borealis tried to communicate with it. That mistake killed them all.
