El lingüista conseguirá liberarse de la deformación jerárquica que lleva a considerarlo como una modalidad de uso deficitaria o "pobre" cuando, además de aceptar que nadie puede escribir como habla o que no se debe hablar "como un libro", deje de limitarse a oponer y enfrentar la actividad de hablar (y oír-escuchar) a la de escribir (y leer). Desentrañar las claves de lo que logramos decir y hacer, de la verdadera eficiencia de los intercambios orales (desde la mera información práctica o la simple socialización en la conversación familiar espontánea hasta su plena integración en ciertos diálogos literarios), requiere conocer a fondo la técnica constructiva dominante que en ellos se pone en práctica.
