A serendipitous meeting. Fingertips meeting tentatively along a narrow street lined with ancient buildings. Cobblestones beneath feet. A quiet dinner. The reflection of candlelight in his eyes. A Tuscan sun pasted overhead. All the ingredients were there for falling in love when Joshua Barton and Nate Benito are introduced. From the instant they locked eyes, they both knew. But a love connection so easily made can implode with equal ease. When Nate receives news from a past acquaintance, Joshua-known as J.B. to his friends-is overwhelmed, and abruptly departs Florence. With the luxury of time for introspection, J. B. spends nearly a year in Bathsheba, a remote surfing destination in the West Indies where he learns to surf and forms a tight bond with Jake Evans, an itinerate surfer. A pedestrian accident subsequently finds J.B. hospitalized when he is struck by a taxi while leaving the theater. There he meets handsome Zachary Bristol, an orthopedic surgeon, who repaired his broken leg. The two ultimately engage in a lackluster relationship which finds them living together. The upcoming wedding of a mutual friend finds J.B. and Nate seated together. Que, Sera Sera is an invitation to finding out the durability of love at first sight.
