A young man, Robin, who has traveled the galaxy for thousands of years spent mainly in hibernation, has made his way to The Computer Planet's advanced medical facility which he hopes will be able to cure his mate, a young woman named Veronica, with brain damage. Unknown to Robin, entranced by the Puppetmaster's sexual androids, The Computer Planet people have created a duplicate of Veronica from an egg and when she has grown up send her on a faster ship than Robin's so that she arrives there when he does.
