Con ayuda de Fae, su amigo de la infancia, intenta escapar de la delincuencia y la marginación, abriéndose un hueco en el mundo laboral y en la sociedad. Pero Vargas, el exaltado hermano de Fae, aviva la llama de algo que se cuece desde hace tiempo... Palos de ciego es la primera obra larga de El Irra, que, con una propuesta que combina crítica social y acción con una narrativa visual única, cuenta una historia bien intensa que prende en un entorno que conoce de primera mano. Según el dibujante David Rubín, El Irra "bebe de lo autóctono, de las raíces, sin vergüenza alguna ni prejuicios, de esa Sevilla que no sale en las postales, a la sombra de la Giralda y los flashes", para dar lugar a un relato que es la "unión imposible entre Lorca y San Juan de la Cruz, entre Manolo Caracol y Marc Almond, entre Buñuel y Verhoeven, entre la línea chunga de El Víbora y Frank Millerö, asegura el creador gallego.
