Mini Scientists takes Thomas Kuhn's account of how scientific frameworks fail and asks what it illuminates about the frameworks each of us inherits about work, love, worth, and identity. Its argument is that a personal way of seeing behaves much as a paradigm does: it is absorbed rather than chosen, it makes ordinary life productive by rendering certain questions unaskable, it accumulates anomalies that we repair with increasing ingenuity, and it eventually enters a crisis that no argument can resolve and no evidence alone can settle.
