Mars Geological Enigmas: From the Late Noachian Epoch to the Present Day presents thematic questions regarding outstanding questions on the geology of Mars and divergent viewpoints based on varying interpretations and analyses. The result is a robust and comprehensive discussion that provides opportunities for planetary scientists to evolve their own opinions and ways forward. Each theme opens with an introduction that includes background on the topic and lays out the questions to be addressed. Each theme is then comprised of two chapters, each with alternate perspectives on the topic, which present methods, observations, analyses, and an in-depth discussion of the conclusions being drawn. Chapters within each theme will be clearly linked and reference each other so as to facilitate comparison and deeper understanding of the divergent opinions.
