Between 1989 and 2022 Damian King worked as an organiser with the Australian Manufacturing Workers Union and the Electrical Trades Union. In this 33 years period, he assisted union members to improve wages and employment conditions and to enhance employment security. In pursuit of these objectives, he helped union members organise and undertake more than 100 strikes.
