If You Don't Fail, You Don't Grow, Betty Bow!

Betty Bow can't wait to play Acorn Ball! But when she misses the goal and her best friend Pip scores, Betty's feathers puff up, her feet start stomping, and she shouts, "I QUIT!"

Sitting alone on a branch, Betty hears a kind little voice: if you don't fail, you don't grow. With Pip's help, she practises from sunrise to moonlight, missing again and again until the acorn finally rolls in. And when her team loses the Big Game, Betty does something even braver than scoring. She takes a deep breath, holds out her wing, and says, "Good game!"

Along the way, Betty plants a tiny acorn and watches it grow into a mighty oak. It reminds her that every big thing starts small, and that growing takes patience and practice.
