Howie

This heartwarming picture book explores the themes of being different, maintaining hope, and discovering one's place.

Howie stands apart from other bears. While they slumber in dens, search for food in the woods, and hibernate through winter, Howie prefers to build a snug log cabin, lose himself in his library, cultivate his fruit trees, and relish snowy escapades. He's content forging his own way, yet he longs to find another bear like him, someone who truly understands and wants to share his life.

Howie searches far and wide, through every season, but to no avail. Just as he's about to lose hope, Chloe appears in his yard. She adores his home, his books, and his garden - and she's also been looking for a unique bear. Together, Howie and Chloe realize that their very differences are what draw them together.

Featuring vibrant illustrations and gentle humor, "Howie, the Unusual Bear" champions individuality, self-acceptance, perseverance, love, and family. It's a comforting read-aloud for children aged four to seven, and a wonderful choice for parents, grandparents, and educators seeking to encourage children to embrace their own unique journeys.
