FOREWARNED

What if the warning has already been given?

FOREWARNED: Are We Paying Attention? places the words of Scripture beside the headlines of our own time and asks the reader one simple question: Are we paying attention?

Across 38 carefully organized chapters, Jodi L. Serino-Barbour examines biblical passages concerning events and conditions Scripture tells us to watch for, then places them alongside documented news reports from the United States and around the world.

Earthquakes. Wars and rumors of wars. Famine. Pestilence. Violence and lawlessness. Distress among nations. The suffering of creation. The contamination of land and water. Increasing knowledge and travel. The accumulation of wealth. Luxury and commerce. Persecution. Deception. Moral inversion. And people continuing with ordinary life while the world around them changes.

But this book does something unusual.

It does not tell you what conclusion to reach.

There is no commentary accompanying the reports. No attempt to interpret the headlines for you. No argument telling you what you are required to see.

Instead, Scripture is presented.

The headlines are presented.

The sources are provided.

QR codes allow the readers to examine the reports for themselves.

And the question remains:

Are we paying attention?

FOREWARNED: Are We Paying Attention? - The Bible & Today's Headlines invites readers to open their Bibles, examine the evidence, and consider for themselves the relationship between what Scripture said and what today's headlines report.

The warning has been given.

The evidence has been presented.
