Faith of the Healer

Faith of the Healer

By K.J. Blake

Six years after the events of The Rainbow Tower, Sister Susan Alden is no longer the cleric she once was. Haunted by grief over the loss of Garret Vale and struggling with her own faith, Susan has turned to life as a wandering mercenary, leaving her healing past behind.

When an opportunity brings her to Raven's Mist and an Adventurers Academy, Susan takes on the challenge of teaching a new generation of adventurers. Among her students are Hugh Talric, Rhys Alden, Kara Venn, and Kethra, each with their own strengths, flaws, and lessons to learn.

Their journey west toward the ruins of the Rainbow Tower soon becomes more than a test of their training. The shattered remains conceal unsettling mysteries connected to the tower's origins and the dangerous consequences of power that was never meant to endure. There, Susan must confront the Crystal Phantom, an impossible remnant of the past that challenges her understanding of identity, existence, and survival.

As the past reaches into the present, Susan must decide whether healing is merely a power she has lost-or a purpose she has yet to rediscover.

Faith of the Healer is a fantasy adventure about grief, faith, the cost of power, and the difficult journey toward finding purpose after loss. Continuing the world of The Gemstone Wars, K.J. Blake explores what it means to heal when the wounds that matter most cannot simply be mended.
