The Druid: Legion of Horatius is a historical novel set in the Roman Empire of the first century A.D. A central character is a Celtic slave named Doriacus, who, when young and free, was schooled in the way of the Drus. Doriacus survives a shipwreck and finds refuge in a Mount Carmel colony of Greek ascetics.
