Western Venezuela, 1920.

Oil companies carve roads through sacred land while government soldiers erase entire communities beneath the promise of progress.

When armed men murder Alejandro Echevarria for refusing to surrender his family estate near Lake Maracaibo, his seventeen-year-old daughter Nereida is forced into the violent collapse consuming the country around her.

As she flees through flooded jungle routes, burning labor camps, and resistance settlements hidden beneath the storms of Catatumbo, Nereida discovers an ancient inheritance tied to the lightning itself.
