The use of cow urine is described in Vedas and various researcher and scientists found that cow urine is a rich source of essential elements, nutrients and hormones. To use cow urine as active constituent in pharmaceutical preparation, we must control its variability of concentration and constituents. Distillation could be used to process cow urine for pharmaceutical use. Convenience of administration and patient compliance are gaining significant importance in the design of dosage forms. Recently, more stress is laid down on the development of an organoleptically elegant and patient-friendly drug delivery system. Delivery of this traditionally acclaimed medicine in suitable dosage form is really interesting as many people still feel/find unpleasant to use urine as medicine. Delivery of the therapeutically active ingredient in suitable/patient friendly dosage form to make it more acceptable in patients/consumers is really a challenging task. In this research work, suitability of gel based system is checked to deliver cow urine distillate by topical route.
