Broken Century

For the first time in their lives, Marshall and Daniel have escaped the war zone. However, as the veterans try to adjust to this new, peaceful life, they find that the war has indeed followed them to paradise in the form of two unexpected hitchhikers. Their troublesome friend Kurayai has joined them, after being presumed dead for three years, and he's wilder than ever. Worse, police captain Tori has staked her own life for a chance at Kurayai's; she's rabid to have him face justice for crimes he currently has no recollection of.
As the war refugees struggle to fly under the radar, Kurayai suffers from tantalizing flashbacks of his elusive life, and his ravenous alcoholism that continues to haunt him in spite of his amnesia. In his pocket he carries a photograph of a woman with a note addressed to him. While his memory loss blocks any information about her, he loves her dearly, and is lost without her.
When a Zamissyan lady suddenly shows up on the beach, Kurayai is sure he's found her, but she appears to have no idea who he is either.
