Blanket of Violets

An evocative romantic mystery about the power of love and forgiveness. A man falls into darkness, taking another with him. How can the women who love them bring them back to the Light? 

In an ancient churchyard, lies a grave on which a mass of tiny violets grows, a place where, for almost a century, many have found peace and healing. The name on the headstone has been obliterated, leaving all to wonder who lies sleeping beneath the blanket of violets and what is their story?

Living in a run-down area of London, Claire dreams of romance and adventure but lacks the confidence and courage to break free from her mundane existence... until the day an amethyst necklace calls to her from an antique shop window with a silent voice and takes possession of her heart. 

Wearing it evokes curious visions leading her to the grave covered with violets. Here she connects to the spirit of a woman, Eleanora, who cannot rest until she has righted a wrong the effects of which have echoed down through time. Claire agrees to help her find and save the soul of Philip, a man whose life has been stolen from him. 

With great challenge it is all too easy to go down the path of suffering but Eleanora speaks of another way and Claire comes to discover the world holds a mystery and sacredness far greater than she knew.

Gaining more insight into Philip's disappearance, Claire finds herself searching, alongside Philip's son, through the windswept peaks and valleys of the Lake District in England and across to the other side of the world to the hot and humid Daintree Rainforest in the Far North of Australia.  

Here Claire is forced to face her deepest fears and even death itself when she is confronted by the ones who have taken Philip, those corrupted by bitterness and greed. 

But how can someone like her ever hope to save him?
