Bioplastics are non-toxic, biocompatible, biodegradable that can be produced from renewable resources. These features make them highly competitive with polypropylene, the petrochemical-derived plastic. The aim of this work was isolation, identification of bacterial isolates and testing their for bioplastic production. Factors affecting bioplastic production by the active bacteria and some physical properties of bioplastic were studied.
