Baala Dast

This book "Baala Dast (The Superior)" is a collection of selected Short Stories by Naushaba Khatoon. This collection of stories, ranging from the pure feelings of youngster's early life to romantic feelings, not only includes descriptions of romantic situations related to women, but also discusses many important social and moral issues in a unique way. While these stories show the lives of the residents of the huts closely, on the other hand, scenes from inside the mansions are also presented. The specialty of these stories is to move forward by holding onto the hope amidst the ups and downs of domestic life and the pain and suffering.

یہ کتاب "بالادست" نوشابہ خاتون کے منتخب افسانوں کا مجموعہ ہے۔ کچی عمر کے پاک احساسات سے لے کر رومانوی جذبات تک پھیلی ہوئی کہانیوں کے اس مجموعے میں خواتین سے متعلق رومانی کیفیات کا بیان تو شامل ہے ہی، اس کے علاوہ ان افسانوں میں کئی اہم سماجی و اخلاقی مسائل پر بھی انوکھے انداز میں بات کی گئی ہے۔ ان کہانیوں میں جھونپڑی کے باسیوں کی زندگی اگر قریب سے دکھائی گئی ہے تو دوسری طرف حویلیوں کے اندر کے مناظر بھی پیش کیے گئے ہیں۔ گھریلو زندگیوں میں آنے والے اتار چڑھاؤ اور دکھ درد کے درمیان امید کا دامن تھام کر آگے بڑھنا ان افسانوں کی خاصیت ہے۔
