This book has set out a theoretical framework based on sustainable urban revitalization, and used this framework to propose a model for assessing the level of sustainability in historic urban quarters. It examines how the two key issues of urban conservation/revitalization and sustainability relate to each other in the context of historic urban quarters and how they can be used in the sustainable futures of historic urban areas.
