The artist focuses on the moment at which the original advertising messages are exposed and how these are transformed through the artistic intervention.Cris Koch cuts out elements of advertising posters and recontextualises them by combining them with other cut-out fragments of posters to create an expanded reality that can be read as a process of (re)appropriation of public space.INSIDE STREETS is located at the intersection between contemporary art, photography, and literature. On the one hand, it references New Realism, but it can also be categorised as contemporary urban art and takes a highly aesthetic approach to addressing sensitive political issues.
