An Amazing Journey

About the Book"An Amazing Journey" is the story of the life of an army wife, Debjani Sarkar. Hers has been an amazing journey spanning over eighty years, from being a simple girl from rural India to a grand old accomplished lady, settled in Alwar, Rajasthan. She is loved and cherished by her children, grandchildren, and a following of her students; young and not so young, acquaintances, associates and friends spread over all parts of India. It is a book about interesting and sometimes amazing incidents. She has been to 20 Indian states and two foreign countries, lived in 24 cities in India and abroad and lived in about 32 different houses. Essentially a home maker. she has also been an abortion assistant, an executive house keeper and a successful tutor and motivator of boys and girls of junior classes. She has narrated many incidents mentioned in this book during parties and gatherings and these were well received by audiences. That is an added incentive to narrate her story. For clarity, the anecdotes have been written in italics. She has tried to avoid narrating incidents which show others in poor light. She begs forgiveness from anyone who is hurt by any of the anecdotes.
