Ten-year-old Leo loves spending Saturdays in his Grandpa Beno's workshop, a dusty basement filled with cuckoo clocks and half-finished inventions. But when Leo discovers a strange, humming pocket watch hidden behind the furnace, he makes a mistake that changes everything: he winds it.

In a flash of blue light, Leo and Grandpa are pulled into the Backward World-a surreal dimension where waterfalls flow upward into the clouds, trees grow down from the sky, and broken objects spontaneously fix themselves.

But this world isn't just a playground of impossible physics. It is a trap.

In the Backward World, time flows in reverse. For Grandpa Beno, this is a miracle-he feels younger and stronger with every passing hour. But for Leo, it is a death sentence. If he stays too long, he will "un-grow" from a boy to a toddler, eventually vanishing from existence entirely.

Hunted by The Shadow-a terrifying entity made of static that wants to freeze the universe in a permanent moment-Leo and Grandpa must embark on a desperate journey to the Great Mainspring. To survive, Leo must master gravity-defying "Anchor Boots," outsmart mechanical beasts, and learn the truth about his grandfather's secret past as a legendary adventurer.
