This collection of poetry and photography is an exhilarating insight into the world of human nature, human condition and the universal qualities that make us all human. Sergei Isaenko's poetry is incredibly rich and rhythmical; it demonstrates a mastery of rhyme and contemplations on a very deep and personal level. "As a photographer and a poet I mix both of the mediums into one. For every poem there is an image that follows the concept and the idea of the text; the photographs are meant to both shed light and support the meaning or simply enrich the expression. So why Grains of Sand? To me each poem, each word, every line of text are pieces of a puzzle; this riddle is like a pebble that lies on a river bank, a grain of sand amongst the endless beach.
